Florence Loft Duomo

Our charming loft apartment is nestled in the heart of Florence, just a few steps from the Duomo, within a stunning building dating back to the late 1800s. Please note that it is situated on the third floor and does not have elevator access. The main train station (Santa Maria Novella) is only a 10-minute walk away, and all of Florence's main attractions, such as Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, and Ponte Vecchio, are reachable within 10 minutes on foot.

Space
This delightful loft, located on the third floor of a historic structure mere moments from the Duomo, is arranged over two levels. It boasts a bright, open living space while preserving original Florentine features like soaring ceilings and exposed wooden beams.

The lower level includes a fully equipped modern kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, Nespresso machine, kettle, and toaster. There is also a bedroom furnished with two single beds that can be joined to form a double bed, along with a bathroom featuring a shower. On the upper level, you’ll find a second bedroom with a double bed and another bathroom, also with a shower.

Perfect for two couples, groups of four, or families, this tranquil loft is outfitted with all essentials for a pleasant stay: air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a washing machine (discreetly located under the staircase), and a baby crib available on request.

IMPORTANT:
One of the bathrooms has a compact shower, which may not be ideal for taller guests.
Like many central buildings, the loft does not have an elevator and has long staircases (66 steps). It is also spread over two levels, making it less suitable for guests with mobility challenges.

Guest access
The apartment is fully at your disposal.
Check-in time: 3PM - 7PM
Since we do not operate a reception desk, please inform us of your exact arrival time at least 24 hours prior to check-in.
Late check-ins must be requested and approved at least 24 hours in advance.
Early and late check-in incurs an additional fee:
From 12:00 to 3:00 PM: €10 (€15 on weekends)
From 7:00 to 8:00 PM: €25
From 8:00 to 10:00 PM: €35
From 10:00 PM to MIDNIGHT: €45
Check-in after MIDNIGHT is only possible if agreed upon in advance.

Neighbourhood overview
Situated in one of Florence’s most scenic districts, the loft enjoys a prime location just steps from the Duomo. It resides on the third floor of an elegant late 19th-century building. A 15-minute walk will take you to the main train station, and all major landmarks are close by. The neighborhood is home to Florence’s top boutiques, as well as many restaurants and bars. A supermarket located just 100 meters away adds to your convenience. The street has a captivating medieval vibe, enriching your overall experience.

Getting around
Florence’s historic center is a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), which restricts car access. This apartment is within that area, so drivers must pay attention to signs, CCTV, and light signals (red or green) to avoid fines. Guests planning to drive should arrange access with a nearby private garage in advance. Once at the garage, mention your need for ZTL access; the garage will register your license plate and notify local authorities for approval.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Age Requirement: The main guest must be over 21 and will be asked to sign a short-term rental agreement upon arrival for insurance, tax, and legal purposes.
ID Requirement: All guests must provide valid identification at check-in in compliance with Italian police rules through a secure link. Failure to comply will result in denied access.
Long-Term Stays: Italian law requires a rental agreement for stays over 30 nights.
No Smoking
No Pets
Noise Policy: Parties and excessive noise are strictly prohibited. Kindly keep noise to a minimum when entering or leaving the apartment, especially after 11 PM.
Visitors: Only registered guests may enter the apartment unless prior written approval is granted.
Cleaning Fee: This covers the final cleaning only. Guests are expected to leave the apartment tidy, especially the kitchen (no dirty dishes or leftover trash). Additional fees may apply for non-compliance.
Electricity: Homes in Italy often have limited electrical capacity. Running multiple devices at once may trip the circuit breaker. In that case, turn off appliances before resetting the white fuse box, which will be shown to you.
Plumbing: Only toilet paper should be flushed. Improper disposal, especially of feminine products, can cause blockages and may lead to fines.
Heating Regulations: Heating is permitted only from November 1 to April 15 as per Florence’s laws (zone D).
Lost Keys: A €100 fee applies for each lost set of keys.
Utilities for Long-Term Stays: For stays over 30 days, guests are responsible for utilities, charged based on actual usage at the end of the rental.
